Less than two weeks until the adventures in Asia begin! Here's where I'm headed (part one).

Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, and India await |
March 8 I begin the fun in Bangkok, I've mapped out a route around the downtown with plans to sample some Pad Thai, visit the Grand Palace and see the giant Buddha at Wat Pho.

I then join the tour and we head to Cambodia. The main attraction is Angkor Wat, where I am looking forward to seeing how nature is reclaiming the ancient temple.

We visit Kampong Cham, Phnom Penh, and Sihanoukville, seeing temples, pagodas, islands, beaches, bamboo bridges, and learning about Cambodia's difficult history.
Onward to Vietnam, starting in Ho Chi Minh City and along the Mekong Delta. We take the Reunification Express up to Hoi An, then Hue, and finally Hanoi.

At the end of the tour, we visit the limestone karsts of Halong Bay and spend the night in the jungle of Cat Ba Island.

We end back in Hanoi, from where I'll fly to Nepal to start part two in April.
