When everyone knows the capital of Cambodia is... not Sean Penn.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia
We left Sihanoukville on Tuesday morning for a long ride back to Phnom Penh. With our free afternoon, we first stopped off at the national museum and learned a bit more about the artifacts at Angkor Wat. I still can't believe it exists, and it was interesting seeing some huge statues found while the sites were being excavated, and imagining how it would feel to uncover that treasure.
I wanted to see the Royal Palace, so we split up and I entered the gardens. I think I would have benefited from getting a guide, because I'm not really sure what I was looking at, but I enjoyed the ornate sights and sunshine nonetheless.

I couldn't take pictures inside most of the buildings, but they were covered in gold and Buddhas.
I'm ready to leave Cambodia now, not a big fan of Phnom Penh, which is pretty dirty with not a whole lot going on. Ready to experience Vietnam!
