Clarkston, Michigan to Wawa, Ontario

The road trip across Canada to Alberta officially began today, after I had a wonderful time visiting my aunt, uncle, and cousins in Clarkston, Michigan (including a visit to the delicious Cracker Barrel).  I drove up through Michigan on the I75, exploring many of the rest stations and trails along the way.  Crossed over the Mackinac bridge into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, before passing the Soos, both American and Canadian.  Lake Superior and the Trans Canada Highway are both blowing my mind with every turn and emergence of rocky shore over the frozen water.  I was planning on camping in Montreal River just north of Sault Ste. Marie, but gave up the effort when the road to the campsite was still covered in a foot of snow.  So I pushed on to Wawa, and was rewarded with my first ever moose sighting.  I can officially declare myself a Canadian, and will be updating my birth certificate imminently.
